Our challenge was to improve quality of life in this tight community. We did so by changing the existing neighborhood nucleus, making it less crowded, while at the same time reinforcing interaction between family members, neighbors, & community. We reuse existing structures as the edge for interior parks, which were used in the past as alleys, backyards & additional residential units. Pedestrian paths connect open areas & reinforce local interaction.
